Steve on tour

Ready for some awesome trips? – my roadmap for the summer

Summer is near – we already had our first days with temperatures above 25 degrees in Hamburg: time to make plans for the next months! I already figured out some destinations to visit with friends this year – most of the trips are at the planning stage, some are already booked.
Maybe i'll add some destinations in the next weeks but for the moment this is the list:

Munich, May

[image title=”Munich, Germany” size=”large” icon=”zoom” align=”center” lightbox=”true” group=”1″ autoHeight=”true” quality=”100″]http://www.back-packer.org/wp-content/uploads/munich.jpg[/image] My first trip goes to the capital of bavaria: Munich. The city is very famous for the typical german food, the beer, FC Bayern Munich, old architecture, BMW and of course the Oktoberfest. I'll stay in Munich just for a few days, because i'll visit the german IA-conference there. Maybe i'll find some time before and afterwards to discover the city with my camera.

Denmark, May/June

A House directly at the coast is already booked. We'll use the time to relax, enjoy the nature, have some bbq and to play soccer at the beach. Very important: we'll bring our own beer, cause alcohol is very expensive in scandinavia ;)

Frankfurt, July(?)

[image title=”Frankfurt, Germany (picture by chr1sch: www.sxc.hu)” size=”large” icon=”zoom” align=”center” lightbox=”true” group=”1″ autoHeight=”true” quality=”100″]http://www.back-packer.org/wp-content/uploads/frankfurt.jpg[/image] Together with a friend i plan a roadtrip to his hometown. Frankfurt is well known because of the big airport and the stock exchange – the headquarters of some global banking houses are situated here: the huge buildings are responsible for the nickname “Mainhatten”.

Amsterdam, July(?)

[image title=”Amsterdam, Netherlands (picture by mboots: www.sxc.hu)” size=”large” icon=”zoom” align=”center” lightbox=”true” group=”1″ autoHeight=”true” quality=”100″]http://www.back-packer.org/wp-content/uploads/amsterdam.jpg[/image] Also in July another roadtrip will lead us to the capital of the Netherlands: Amsterdam. In the summertime this city is a great place to be: great architecture, the typical canals, bicycles all over the place and of course the relaxed atmosphere (maybe due to the coffeeshops ;)).

Tallinn, June/July or August (?)

[image title=”Tallinn, Estonia (picture by gundolf: www.sxc.hu)” size=”large” icon=”zoom” align=”center” lightbox=”true” group=”1″ autoHeight=”true” quality=”100″]http://www.back-packer.org/wp-content/uploads/tallinn.jpg[/image] A must-see this year is the capital of Estonia. Tallinn is the European Capital of Culture for 2011 (together with Turku, Finland) and full of life – i also like to discover the pulsating nitghlife.Time for my first trip to the baltic states!

Hamburg, all summer long

[image title=”Hamburg, Germany (picture by Patrick Schwarz: www.photophobie.de)” size=”large” icon=”zoom” align=”center” lightbox=”true” group=”1″ autoHeight=”true” quality=”100″]http://www.back-packer.org/wp-content/uploads/hamburg.jpg[/image] Yeah! – Hamburg is the home base, of course. I plan to produce some different Videoblogs from my hometown: so i'll show you how to discover the city in a cheap way and you get to see some insider tips.

I'm looking forward to a great summer – Stay tuned for the upcoming stories and videos from all of the mentioned destinations!

Dänemark! Nördlich von Hvide Sande ist es immer herrlich. Einsame Strände, raue See und Häuser in Top-Lage. Geht nichts über einen Abend mit Freunden und guten Bier auf den alten Bunkeranlagen am Strand.

the last 3 years we’ve been in Blavand (you know the “horse”-bunkers?) – this time it’ll be Rømø: http://maps.google.com/?q=55.11407533650649,8.546821475028992
