The only reason to stay here was to get an early bus to the Quilotoa loop. Walked round and there were zero attractions to visit. Even the churches were shut but that may have been due to the State of Emergency. Didn't eat out because I didn't see anywhere open I fancied eating in.

Though not much to do in the city, it's nevertheless a convenient stop for accessing all the nearby volcanoes and lakes. The city has a potential, it needs a bit of tourism infrastructure to encourage longer stay rather than a quick passing through.

It’s an easy trip from Latacunga, with fresh air and beautiful views of Cotopaxi. They can even arrange a few different tours or transportation for you which is a great bonus when you don’t know exactly where to go or how. Also super family friendly, with a lot of space for kids to run around and plenty of fun for everyone, with pool tables, ping pong tables, basketball, volleyball, football.
