It seems that there are endless opportunities of things to do in Rome as this city is full of history and beautiful architecture. Moreover the so called “eternal city” offers a wide selection of tasty food – but what about the costs for a day in the italian capital? I'll answer the question “How much is a day in Rome” with the following video:

About the travel video
It has been my first time in Rome and I was quite surprised about the convenient connection between the airport Rom Fiumicino and the city center: by train it just took around half an hour to get to Termini. As my Hostel has been located just around the corner I could easily start discovering the city.
Like in my Budget Check from Paris I signed up for a tour on the first day to get an overview – this time I chose to go with a tour operator to skip the lines and to get to know the history behind all the numerous sights better. The Gelato has been part of it and i couldn't stop eating Gelato the following days as it tasted sooooo delicious!
As you see I have been quite lucky with the weather again and could enjoy some amazing views from the terrace of “Il Vittoriano” overlooking Rome and the Vatican city. When I got hungry the decision what to eat was quite difficult as the food in Italy is really good – with Pasta or Pizza you can never go wrong if you choose the restaurant wisely ;)
The journey continues: the next stop is Istanbul, located in Europe and Asia on the Bosporus. Meanwhile checkout the ultimate Packing List for City Breaks which is perfect for short trips like this one to Rome.
